June Care is matching families all over California. If you are interested in finding or hosting June Care in your city, please let us know - we are expanding rapidly
-
You create a profile. Upon reviewal, a June Care matching specialist sends you matches based on a number of factors - ages of kids, location, schedule needs/availability, etc. After you have reviewed and approved a match, we coordinate a video call and/or a trial playdate as the first introduction. If the match is a good fit, we move forward with next steps and handle all scheduling, logistics and payments for your June Care. If it isn't the right fit, we go back to “match-making” for you!
-
Yes, of course! Once we have found a good match for you, we set up a virtual or in person meeting (by request) for the families to have the opportunity to meet each other before the playdate. If anything feels off on any side, we will go back to match-making without any penalties.

June Care Hosts set their own rates. June Care Hosts typically charge between $15 - $22 per hour, depending on the care request.
Once the rate is agreed upon between the families and your June Care is scheduled, June Care manages the payments electronically for the duration of each match. June Care service fees are as follows:
June Care Seekers:
10% service fee is applied to your weekly June Care Payment for the first year of any match.
June Care Hosts:
0% service fees are charged to June Care Hosts.
June Care charges a one time $29.99 background check fee (deducted from your first payout)
** Any June Care Host or Family met through the June Care network is required to book/be booked through June Care for any paid childcare arrangements. Payment must also be made through June Care and not directly between families. Violation of this standard qualifies our Parents and Hosts for immediate suspension and permanent dismissal from the June Care network. Parents may also be liable for monetary damages owed to June Care per the June Care Terms of Service. **

Yes. Our June Care Hosts are mom reviewed and approved using a better than best-in-class screening process. Specifically, we complete the following checks on all hosts before they host June Care:
1. Social Security Check
2. National Criminal Search (standard)
3. Sex Offender Search
4. Global Watchlist Search
5. Personal and Professional Reference Checks
6. Online Presence Check
7. Virtual Interview with our June Care Matching Specialists
All of our hosts must also identify themselves as primary caregivers for children.

As a parent and a primary caregiver, you have the best, first-hand childcare experience! You do not need any additional formal childcare experience.

During the pandemic, 2M women left the workforce, many of whom are moms who need to earn income for their families. Additionally the prohibitively high cost of childcare often prevents some moms from being able to pursue their own careers.
We started the June Care Company to create a new way to think about childcare, together. Moms who want to (or need to) stay home and earn an income caring for their kids +1-2 more can now do that. And moms who want to pursue opportunities outside of the home will now have access to trusted, affordable and enriching child care.
We are excited to be able to empower parents who love being home with their children to continue to do so while contributing to their communities AND earning an income.

June Care cancellation policy was created with our users and hosts in mind. Please email us at info@junecare.co if you have any questions about the following.
Cancellation fees for June Care seekers (e.g. parents booking childcare). June Care bookings that are canceled with less than 24 hours notice (from the start of the first day of care) will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the full amount owed to the June Care Host for the first day of care - based on hours booked - plus June Care’s 10% service fee. This fee is applied and remitted to the host, since it is unlikely that June Care will be able to re-match that host with such short notice.
If the care is rescheduled for a later date, the cancellation fee will be credited back to the care seeker and applied towards their next booking (not including June Care fees). In the case that the care is canceled due to illness, no cancellation fee will be charged (please communicate with June Care and your June Care host if you need to cancel due to illness).
Cancellation policy for June Care Hosts (e.g. parents providing childcare). In the case that a June Care Host cancels care with less than 24 hours notice, the cancellation record will be noted in the June Care Hosts’ profile (with the exception of illness). June Care tracks the number of matches booked and number of cancellations (only applied to cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice). Frequent, last-minute cancellations could result in the removal from the platform.

How will I pay? Get paid?
June Care facilitates all payments between June Care families. Once your hours have been confirmed for your June Care booking, June Care will charge the amount owed to the family booking June Care (plus applicable service fees per above) and then remit payment (less applicable service fees) to the June Care Host following the June Care payment period.
If there are any changes in hours or schedule, please let us know by contacting your June Care customer success representative or by emailing us at payments@junecare.co
