We believe we’re safer when we work together as a community. These guidelines outline the role each of us—parents, providers, and June Care staff—plays in promoting safer experiences for everyone. We will take action in response to conduct that is inappropriate, unsafe, or dishonest, as outlined below.

What is June Care’s Role?

Commitment to Respect and Integrity

  • Uphold a culture of respect and dignity for every member of the June Care community.

  • Ensure the integrity of the platform by implementing robust tools and processes. These are designed to attract exemplary childcare providers and families to June Care. Additionally, enforce the removal of members who violate our Terms of Service.

Facilitation of Quality Childcare Experiences

  • Streamline the process for parents to efficiently find providers that align with their family's specific needs, thereby facilitating excellent childcare experiences.

Responsiveness and Safety

  • Diligently investigate any reports of inappropriate conduct. Take decisive and appropriate actions to address concerns raised by both parents and providers, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment.

  • Provide round-the-clock support in the event of any issues during a booking. Ensure that our team is always available to offer assistance and troubleshooting solutions.


June Care Host’s Role:

Professional Conduct and Communication

  • Engage in respectful and professional communication at all times, both during care sessions and on the June Care website or app.

  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy: Keep all information, payments, and communications related to June Care bookings exclusively on the website or app.

  • Confirm the hosting rate (hourly/daily/weekly) before accepting a booking to ensure clear understanding of the compensation agreement with the family.

  • Adhere strictly to June Care’s Terms of Service by not accepting cash or any other forms of payment outside of the June Care platform for bookings.

Child Safety and Supervision

  • Proactively ensure a safe environment for all children in your care.

  • Never leave children unattended or unsupervised while under your care.

  • Respond promptly to communications from June Care Support and families.

  • Disclose any personal illness experienced within the last 48 hours to the families you are providing care for.

  • Inform June Care and the family if other adults will be present during childcare.

  • Obtain explicit parental consent for any change in the pre-agreed care location during the service period.

  • Seek parental permission before sharing any photographs of their children outside of your private communication with them, including on social media platforms.

Adherence to Family Preferences and Requirements

  • Strictly adhere to all medical and dietary restrictions specified by the family.

  • Respect and follow the family’s policies regarding electronic device usage and screen time for children.

  • Remain alert and accessible to the family throughout the duration of care.

  • Represent your qualifications, experience, home environment, and any special circumstances or requirements with honesty and integrity.

  • In the event of a child’s injury during care, immediately contact the parent and report the incident to June Care.

  • Accept care requests only if you can fully meet the unique needs and availability requirements as outlined in each family’s care request.

These guidelines are designed to ensure a safe, professional, and trustworthy environment for all June Care families and hosts. Your adherence to these standards is essential in maintaining the quality and reliability of the June Care service.


June Care Parents’ Role:

Professional Conduct and Communication

  • Conduct all business transactions and communications related to June Care bookings exclusively via the website or app.

  • Adhere to June Care’s Terms of Service by not paying providers (June Care Hosts) directly.

  • Represent your requirements, home environment, and any special circumstances or needs with honesty and integrity.

Childcare Arrangements and Provider Information

  • Engage with providers prior to booking to ensure compatibility and discuss specific expectations for your child’s care.

  • Clearly communicate specific care instructions, medical and health information, house rules, and ensure your contact information is always current.

  • Remain alert and accessible to your provider during the duration of the booking.

  • Provide fair and constructive feedback on your June Care provider’s performance. Your insights contribute to the ongoing improvement of our service.

Safety and Respect

  • Contact June Care’s Trust & Safety Team for any safety concerns or inquiries. Our team is available 24/7 to assist with a range of issues.

  • Respect your care provider’s time, particularly regarding arrangements for drop-offs, pickups, and notice for cancellations.

  • Disclose any recent illnesses (within the past 48 hours) in your household to the provider.

These guidelines are designed to ensure a respectful, safe, and transparent environment for both families and June Care providers. Your cooperation with these standards is crucial in maintaining the high-quality childcare experience that June Care aims to provide.

Booking and Paying on June Care is required through June Care Terms of Service:

** Any June Care Host or Family met through the June Care network is required to book/be booked through June Care for any paid childcare arrangements. Payment must also be made through June Care and not directly between families. Violation of this standard qualifies our Parents and Hosts for immediate suspension and permanent dismissal from the June Care network. Parents may also be liable for monetary damages owed to June Care per the June Care Terms of Service. **
