June Care’s Top Highlights of 2023
As we reflect on 2023, it’s been a year of BIG progress, growth and constant learning at June Care. We want to thank our June Care families for your support and patience, as we continue to work hard to make June Care easier to use and offer more value to our families. Our mission is to provide access to childcare and income opportunities for families everywhere, and each year we are getting closer to this vision becoming a reality, thanks to your support.

#4: June Care launches a Mobile App!
In early 2023, we launched our first website that allowed Hosts and Families to chat and connect with each other without us in the middle! It was a bit of a rocky start but we (and YOU) persevered. Fast-forward to today and I am really proud we now have an iOS app (which we launched in the App Store in August 2023)! We are constantly improving the product experience, but having our families be able to find each other, chat, call, book and pay, all on the App, is a huge highlight for 2023.

#3: Host Reviews + Badges
You asked…we listened. When it comes to childcare, we know TRUST is the #1 most important thing for parents. In August 2023, we finally launched reviews and testimonials on our hosts’ profiles, which allow families to read all of the rave reviews directly from our families! We send a post-match survey after every booking and 100% of our hosts have received positive reviews so far!
In 2023, we also launched badges on host profiles so you can easily see hosts that have already completed a background check and been verified. Verified hosts are hosts that complete an interview and screening from the June Care team, and background checks are required for all hosts before their first booking. You can also see “repeat hosts” to know who has been booked prior. Look for more badges to come in 2024!
#2: June Care Suggested Hosts!
As the June Care Host network has continued to grow, we’ve seen the number of amazing host options increase as well. To help families narrow down the options to THE most incredible hosts to best fit for their family, we needed a solution. Enter: June Care Suggestions!
In 2023, we launched our “Suggested Host” feature which captures the preferences of our June Care families and suggests hosts who are a Top Match or Great Match to help families narrow down and quickly see the best options near them. Our goal is to take the stress and overwhelm out of finding childcare for our families. As more families join, our algorithm and suggestions keep getting better and better, too!
#1: Good Morning America Feature + National Expansion!
June Care was born in California. But in September of 2023, our little company was featured on Good Morning America! While we weren’t certain we were ready, when GMA calls… you answer. ;) Fast forward to today and we have expanded outside of California to Nevada, Oklahoma and North Carolina and we continue to launch in new cities and communities everyday. The need for trusted, reliable childcare is huge and continues to grow, so we are thrilled that as we continue to grow in 2024, we can share the magic of June Care with families across the country. We look forward to serving all families everywhere as soon as possible!
